Monika Povilaitytė

In 2013 Dumbauskaitė and Povilaitytė become first Lithuanian beach volleyball players who qualified for the world championships. In 2014 Dumbauskaitė and Povilaitytė was nominated for Best Female Team of the Year in the Lithuanian Sportsperson of the Year awards, but lost it to the rowers Milda Valčiukaitė and Donata Vištartaitė.
Early Career
Monika Povilaitytė plays since 2011 with international Ieva Dumbauskaitė. In the first year, the duo together finished ninth at the World Junior Championships in Umag, Croatia. After another ninth place in the U20 European Championship in Tel Aviv, the Lithuanians won at the U18 European Championship in Vilnius, Lithuania. They were also 2011 national champions. In 2012 she competed in the European Championship in Scheveningen.
