The Bedford Club Inside A 1920s Bank, VIP Lounge, Wicker Park, Chicago, United States
|
Located in Chicago’s Wicker Park, The Bedford recently reclaimed an historic private bank from 1926 and transformed the place into an incredible supper club. The 8,000-square foot (743 sq. m) lower-level space features terracotta, marble and terrazzo, all reclaimed and restored from the original bank.
Oh and it has one of the coolest VIP lounges the Sifter has seen. Located inside the vault room, the walls are lined with more than 6,000 working copper lock boxes. The lighting and interior design really give this place a great nostalgic feel.
Inspired by the Supper Club experience of a bygone era, The Bedford puts a modern-day twist on the concept by offering more than just a restaurant. Underground but not exclusive, this Wicker Park outpost offers a full nightlife experience without the formality. Sip on one of our signature cocktails in the one-of-a-kind lounge in a former bank vault; experience our boutique wine, beer and spirits selection at the bustling bar; or enjoy celebrated cuisine in the intimate dining room. Stick around after dinner and you just might find yourself ready to mingle, enjoy some tunes and the company of an old (or new) friend. The Bedford is an affordable luxury right in the heart of Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood.
