Artists involved in the project include New York based muralists, Tats Cru whose aerosol based work is dubbed to have ‘changed the perception of graffiti as art’ and LA artist El Mac whose work is prolific across every continent. As well as the US contingent, artists from France, Holland, Spain and Brazil will also bring their own unique styles to Bristol, in addition to Bristol born Inkie, Andy Council and UK artists Zeus and Nick Walker.
The idea was inspired by a similar project in Melbourne which it’s estimated has attracted over 400,000 visitors to the city. Bristol City council hope the same will happen after the success of the Banksy exhibition 2 years ago generated around £15m to the local economy. A massive party is now underway, being held on Nelson Street this afternoon to celebrate the finale of the ‘See No Evil‘ street art project. The road is being closed to traffic and from midday a party is being held with musicians from Bristol and around the world performing. An energising, inspiring event not to be missed!
