Dastar, Sikh Turban

Turban refers to several types of headwear. Most popularly known people to wear turbans are the Sikhs, from Punjab, which they refer to it as Dastar. Different styles of turbans are also worn by many other communities in the Middle East, (including North Africa), South Asia, and some parts of Jamaica. For the Sikh men it is mandatory to wear a turban and in Afghanistan it is widely worn by men in rural parts of the country. In Pakistan and India it is called Pagri.
History
Turban has been worn by people for thousands of years.
