Jia Jem Wearing Costume From Mass Effect 2

Jia Jem is a hobby collector: illustrator, graphic designer, photographer, prop maker, seamstress, and singer. She has been dressing up in silly costumes since 2003. This costume introduces the biotic woman called Jack. The boot covers have a base of wonderflex covered in stretch pleather. Jia sewed the straps, adding the white contrast stitching like the pants. She bought door clasps at Home Depot for the closures. The boot “buckles” are a bit of a trompe l’oeil. She cut the shapes out of wonderflex, covered them with fabric and craft foam that she painted silver, and engineered a Velcro system to hold it together. Jack doesn’t need material weapons to kick booty! She bought some clear plastic rings with blue LED lights in them. She wore them backwards, which created an awesome lighting effect when used with non-flash photography. She also used some small LED lights to backlight the ear piece. Photos were taken at two locations. The daytime ones were taken at Hoover Dam. The nighttime ones were taken around the new City Center in Las Vegas, which looks like a miniature city of the future.
Mass Effect 2 is an action role-playing game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. The game is a sequel to Mass Effect, and the second game of the series. The game was released on PC and Xbox 360 in January 2010, and is due for release on PlayStation 3 in January 2011.
After the events of the original game, Commander Shepard is killed in an ambush by a mysterious alien species called the Collectors. Shepard is revived two years after the attack by an enigmatic organization called Cerberus, and is tasked with finding out more about the Collectors and why they are abducting entire human colonies. Shepard must build a team in order to accomplish what seems to be a suicide mission. Many elements and locations from Mass Effect return, in addition to ones new to the series.
