• Hacktivist group Anonymous has attacked multiple government websites and is preparing a press release calling for support of the Egyptian people.
• Mohamed Abdel Dayem of the Committee to Protect Journalists condemned the violence by police against journalists.
• Human Rights Watch said Egyptian police had escalated the use of force against largely peaceful demonstrations and called it "wholly unacceptable and disproportionate".
