Garota Verão (Summer Girl) Beauty Contest, Rio Grande Do Sul And Santa Catarina, Brazil

Garota Verão or Summer Girl is a beauty contest organized by RBS Group, and held during the summer in Rio Grande do Sul and in Santa Catarina. The finals of the competitions take place in the resort of Capon of Canoa, Rio Grande do Sul, and Corner Spa in Içara, Santa Catarina. The event is broadcast each year by RBS TV.
History
The Summer Girl Contest started in Rio Grande do Sul in 1983. The first winner was Marisa Brandão and the first princess Soraya Schreinert.
