Contestants Miss USA 2013

Miss USA 2013, the 62nd Miss USA pageant, was held on June 16, 2013 at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The winner will represent the United States at Miss Universe 2013 in Moscow, Russia. The outgoing titleholder of Miss USA 2012, Nana Meriwether of Maryland, crowned her successor, Erin Brady of Connecticut, at the end of the event. The 50 states and the District of Columbia competed for the prestigious title and the pageant was televised live on NBC and webcast on Xbox Live.
Viewers were able to interact with the pageant via Twitter and Zeebox. Xbox Live's webcast also featured poll questions that were tabulated in real-time during the pageant. Fans were able to vote for their favorite contestant through the Miss USA website, from May 15 to June 15. The winner of this fan vote won a semifinalist spot in the pageant on the final night. Miss Texas USA, Alexandria Nugent won the most twitter votes to enter the top 6.
Erin Brady from Connecticut was crowned Miss USA 2013. This is the state of Connecticut's first ever Miss USA crown.
