Sky Network Television, New Zealand's largest subscription television provider, was host broadcaster for the Rugby World Cup, transmitting high definition coverage where available. Games were also available on free-to-air networks in New Zealand but not all pool matches were screened live. Broadcasting rights were allocated throughout the world by the IRB, including highlights, free to air and pay per view.
