Knitted Art By Nicole Gastonguay

Lots of people write and ask her for patterns. She doesn’t really have patterns. She makes things up as she goes along. She also thinks it’s neato that when she makes several of the same character, this lack of pattern having, makes every item turn out just a little bit different. She likes that.
Knitting is a method by which thread or yarn may be turned into cloth or other fine crafts. Knitting consists of consecutive loops, called stitches. As each row progresses, a new loop is pulled through an existing loop. The active stitches are held on a needle until another loop can be passed through them. This process eventually results in a final product, often a garment.
Knitting may be done by hand or by machine. By hand, numerous styles and methods of knitting exist.
