Rail station, Brno hlavní nádraží (main station) lies on the main rail route connecting Prague with Vienna and Budapest. Regular rail services operate along this section including the fast Supercity Pendolino tilting trains. There is still old functional route directly in the city center, which is used only in special occasions or events.
