Recently Adams began photographing airplanes when they were Close to the Ground. A nosey employee of E Car Rental tagged him as a suspicious character and landed him in the Queens lock-up on his birthday.
In 2007 with a Grant and Residency from the MacDowell Art Colony, Adams resurrected an old project titled Family Tree. Photographing immediate family members individually he then combined their portraits into one figure. These photographic montages show the visual DNA passed down from farther to son and mother ro daughter.
