Battle Duck By Bart Dorsa

Battle Duck is probably the dark ruler of the duck world, controlling its minions through a “fire fountain” on its head. Built by Bart Dorsa for his father’s 69th Birthday, the fire throwing duck looks oddly sinister with its abilities to throw fire. A welcome addition, as without it the shiny steel duck would possibly look more like a lame duck. The Battle Duck was present at the Burning Man this year, and though it’s special abilities with fire couldn’t have been put to use in the desert, a trip around town in the winters looks like a very interesting concept.
Burning Man is an annual event held in the Black Rock Desert in northern Nevada, in the United States. The event starts on the Monday before and ends on the day of the American Labor Day holiday. It takes its name from the ritual burning of a large wooden effigy on Saturday evening. The event is described by many participants as an experiment in community, radical self-expression, and radical self-reliance.
Burning Man is organized by Black Rock City, LLC. In 2010, 51,454 people participated in Burning Man.
