Alexis Wineman

She won the title of Miss Montana on June 16, 2012, when she received her crown from outgoing titleholder Veronika Ohlinger. Wineman's platform is "Normal is Just a Dryer Setting: Living with Autism." She was diagnosed at the age of 11 with Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified, which puts her on the mild end of the autism spectrum and carries symptoms similar to those of Asperger's Syndrome. Wineman is the first autistic contestant to compete at the Miss America pageant.
