Daphne Joy Narvaez

She spent her early childhood there growing up with the Filipino culture, family values and cuisine. At the age of seven she moved to Los Angeles, California along with her family. Despite the initial cultural shock and language barrier, she molded herself and adjusted quickly to her new environment. During her schooling she was active in dance groups, theatre and choir. She was also the member of the cheerleading team. She decided to go for modeling as her career at the age of 17.
Acting
Her acting career began when she landed roles on popular series like Criminal Minds, CSI: Las Vegas, Curb Your Enthusiasm. She also worked as a VJ and dancer in MTV’s WildnOut. She has acted in a few films including the role of mermaid in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Rollerblading Babe in the TV movie Venice Heat. She has worked for some popular men’s magazine appearing on the cover of at least 10 magazines. Her magazine work includes King magazine, Ed Hardy Swim Campaign 2009, Show magazine 2011 calendar, Performance: Auto and Sound magazine, Black men magazine, SMS Headphone Ad Campaign, Rukus magazine, are a few among others. She appears on some music videos too like NeYo’s Miss Independent, What u Got by the same artist featuring Akon.
